Round and Round He Goes

Week 29 (75 days to go)

Grant is filling out this week. He's adding fat to insulate his body for the day he leaves his cozy home. He takes practice breaths but won't breathe air until delivery.

Grant's growth has begun to slow down now, but he will still gain approximately four pounds between now and birth. If he were born now, he would be able to breathe, but might tire easily and need assistance. His little eyes are sensitive to light. Grant is weighing in at apporximatly two pounds, 12 ounces and almost 10 and one-half inches (crown to rump)

Grant is also doing a lot of summer salts. Justin and I have had fun watching my belly do crazy things as the little man dances around. I even felt a heel or elbow protruding from my belly. It's kinda fun to be able to tell what posistion he's in and what he's hitting me with. Grant is definatly a very active little boy.

We also started our Lamaze classes this weekend, and recieved a lot of good information. We did watch one birthing video, and the instructor gave the disclaimer that it was all animated. So everyone in the class let out a sigh of relief, until the screen flash to a few actions that were NOT animated. It was funny to watch the guys squirm a bit. In next weeks class we will get a tour of the facility Grant will be born in, so that will be exciting :)
